An Introduction to the History of the Modern English Language is very actual band useful for research as English is Global International language. The course will offer an overview of important changes within each period of the history of English at different levels of language, including spelling, grammar and vocabulary. The textbook provides a system of concepts for such a study with respect to the interaction between ethnogenetic (external) and linguistic (internal) phenomena shaping the structural type of the English language system.
