| dc.description | This course “Teaching of Environmental Studies” is the sixteenth course of the D.El.Ed. Programme. There are six units in this course. The first unit discusses the concept of environment, environmental education and environmental studies along with some of the important policies adopted by the Government for implementation of EVS at the elementary stage. The second unit deals with the various aspects of understanding children’s ideas about the environment. The third unit is on “Classroom Transaction” which explains the various ways of conducting classroom transaction. The fourth unit deliberates on understanding textbook and other pedagogic methods and practices of teaching. The fifth unit deals with the topic “Planning for teaching EVS”. This unit will help you to select and use the various methods of teaching EVS. This unit will also help you in identifying and utilizing various types of resources for teaching EVS. The sixth unit will help you to form an overview on the process of classroom planning as well as on evaluation in EVS. | en_US |
