dc.descriptionThis monograph systematically examines the historical period of the 19th and early 20th centuries in the Yerevan region of Azerbaijan. A significant part of the nation's history is intertwined with this region, which was the stage for historical and political processes in which the Azerbaijani Turks had lived for generations. The indigenous inhabitants of the Yerevan region, the Azerbaijanis, built a great civilization here from ancient times. Based on archival documents and sources, the work investigates the conquest of the region by Tsarist Russia, its territory and population, ethnic composition, administrative system, the establishment of an Armenian state in these historical lands, as well as the socio-economic situation, and in particular, the massacres (1905-1907 and 1918-1920) and deportations perpetrated by Armenians in the Yerevan region. The monograph can be used by historians, high school students, master's and doctoral students, researchers, as well as a wide circle of readers interested in the historical period of the 19th-20th centuries in Azerbaijan. / Bu monografi, Azerbaycan'ın Erivan bölgesindeki 19. ve 20. yüzyıl başlarını kapsayan tarihsel dönemi sistematik olarak incelemektedir. Ülke tarihinin önemli bir bölümü, Azerbaycan Türklerinin nesiller boyu yaşadığı tarihi ve siyasi süreçlere sahne olan bu bölgeyle iç içedir. Erivan bölgesinin yerli halkı olan Azerbaycanlılar, kadim çağlardan beri burada büyük bir medeniyet kurmuşlardır. Arşiv belgeleri ve kaynaklara dayanarak, çalışma bölgenin Çarlık Rusyası tarafından fethini, topraklarını ve nüfusunu, etnik yapısını, idari sistemini, bu tarihi topraklarda bir Ermeni devletinin kuruluşunu, sosyo-ekonomik durumunu ve özellikle Erivan bölgesinde Ermeniler tarafından gerçekleştirilen katliamları (1905-1907 ve 1918- 1920) ve sürgünleri incelemektedir.
