This course deals with the use of digital technologies and the different ways they can be incorporated in the English classroom. In the first part of the course students are introduced to computer assisted language learning and to the development of digital literacies in the teaching of English. The second part of the course explores the role of multimedia applications (such as digital stories and podcasts) and web 2.0 applications (such as blogs and wikis) in ELT. Finally, in the last part of the course students present their projects in class. During the course students familiarize themselves with a number of digital tools that will enhance their digital literacy skills and will be useful to them in their future career as language professionals.en_US
