Language contact takes place when speakers of two languages interact. Arabic used to be a literal language in Azerbaijan, and it frequently influences Azerbaijani. Arabic influences other languages too through its use in science, business, education and (Thomason 2001.) Words are always borrowed first, then structure and grammar.
